I'm the marketer who learned to build.
I didn't set out to become a forward-deployed AI engineer. I set out to stop doing the same marketing work by hand — and building my way out of it is what got me here.
For sixteen years I lived in marketing and SEO — the strategy, the audits, the content, the local-pack grind, the parts that actually move a business. I watched agencies sell the same generic thing and call it a service.
Then I started building. Not "prompting" — building. I wanted tools that did the parts I hated doing by hand, and did them the way I'd learned they should be done. One tool became five. Five became a full platform: generation, a CRM, rank tracking, citations, reporting, a self-serve editor — fifteen-plus systems, all mine.
Somewhere in there I became a "forward-deployed AI engineer" — the person who can sit inside a business, understand the marketing problem, and actually ship the system that solves it. Build it, deploy it, document it. That combination is rare, and it's the whole reason this site exists.
A few things I believe
I implement — I don't just advise.
Reports are easy. I hand you the fix and build it, in your stack, running.
Data over guesswork.
Recommendations come from real data + 16 years of pattern-matching, not vibes.
Own the whole stack.
Building is one skill; deploying and documenting it is another. I do both.
Marketing is the lens.
Every build is a marketing decision underneath — I never lose sight of that.
Where I sit
The market has plenty of each end. Almost nobody in the middle — which is exactly where the value is.
The builder
- Ships systems
- Can't tell you if it'll move the business
- No marketing judgment
The strategist
- Knows what moves the business
- Can't build it
- Hands it to a dev + hopes
Both — and I ship
- Know what to build
- Build it myself
- Deploy + document it
- 16 years of marketing underneath all of it
